How is our funding obtained? The majority of our funding comes from our annual 14-hour live Pledge Day radio-thon in December, supported by CKNW 980 and its listeners. Throughout the year, we partner with many business organizations that raise funds on our behalf. View a list of our major donors and partners on our Donors page While the Fund focuses on supporting school-age children, our criteria allows for funding of unique needs often overlooked by government funding or other charities. Although our mandate is quite broad, we focus on three funding fields: therapies, specialized medical equipment, and education bursaries CKNW provides financial assistance for medical equipment, therapies, youth programs, and tuition coverage.
